Are Warlocks Arcane or Divine?

This question recently came up in one of my sessions. Are Warlocks considered Arcane or Divine? There is a magic item, Dark Shard Amulet that is for Warlocks and it requires an Arcana check to use. However, the magic a warlock uses is granted from a patron. So, wouldn't the warlock be a divine caster like the Cleric or Paladin?
