Romeo tells everybody that he has feelings for Juliet. Tybalt was mad so he starts being aggressive towards Romeo, Romeo does not want to fight Tybalt because Tybalt is Juliet's cousin. Mercutio you got involved and defends Romeo. Romeo tries to break up the fight, reminding them both that fighting has been forbidden. Tybalt stabs Mercutio then Mercutio dies. Then Romeo with a weapon attacks Tybalt for killing his friend, Romeo ends up killing Tybalt. If Romeo did not kill Tybalt i feel like the story would be different I feel like if Tybalt was still alive there would have been more problems between Romeo and him threw out the whole story because Romeo had feelings for his cousin Juliet.
