Allan Holdsworth (fødd 6. august 1946) var ein engelsk gitarist og låtskrivar. Han gav ut tolv studioalbum som soloartist og har spelt inn mange forskjellige stilartar gjennom ein perioden på fire tiår. Han var mest kjend for arbeidet sitt innan jazzfusion. Som gitarist var han kjend for å vera ein avansert og innovativ gitarist, og er av mange rocke- og instrumentale gitaristar omtalt som ei inspirasjonskjelde, som til dømes Eddie Van Halen,^[3]Joe Satriani,^[4]Greg Howe,^[5]Shawn Lane,^[6]Richie Kotzen,^[7]John Petrucci^[8] og mange andre. Frank Zappa kalla ein gong Holdsworth «ein av dei mest interessante gitaristane på jorda».^[9]
