Constrictor er det 16. studioalbumet til Alice Cooper, gjeven ut 22. september 1986. Cooper trekte seg tilbake frå musikkindustrien etter DaDa i 1983. Han spelte i Monster Dog, ein skrekkfilm som han skreiv to songar for. Han spelte òg på Twisted Sister-songen «Be Chrool to Your Scuel». Det var den første innspelinga til Alice Cooper med bassisten Kip Winger, som seinare vart kjend med sitt eige band, Winger.


Cooper søkte hjelp hos heavy metal-gitaristen Kane Roberts for albumet, som førte til ein stil Cooper ikkje hadde vore innom før. Constrictor synte den opphavlege sjokkrockaren for ein heil ny generasjon tenåringar og albumet hamna på 59. plass på lista i USA etter at dei to førre albuma, Zipper Catches Skin og DaDa, ikkje hadde gått inn på listene i det heile.[1] Etter albumet følgde ein av dei mest suksessrike turneane på slutten av 1980-åra, The Nightmare Returns-turneen.


Skrekkserien Friday the 13th slo seg saman med Cooper for å lage temasongen til den seinaste filmen. Songen «He's Back (The Man Behind the Mask)» vart skriven for Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. Singelen gjekk heilt til topps i Sverige. Andre songar nytta i filmen var «Teenage Frankenstein» og «Hard Rock Summer», ein song som ikkje vart nytta på albumet.


Songen «The Great American Success Story» var meint som temasongen til Rodney Dangerfield-filmen Back to School, men vart ikkje nytta.

What is the offset in a seaplane's hull?

43 1 $begingroup$ I noticed there is a little offset in a seaplane's hull (highlighted in the following picture). I suppose this is useful as it exists in all the seaplanes I know.
